Nakamura promoted; A. Perez to DL

PHOENIX --
Japanese infielder Norihiro Nakamura was promoted to the Major Leagues
on Sunday morning to replace utility infielder Antonio Perez,
who was disabled with a strained hamstring.

Nakamura is a Japanese home run champ and Gold Glove third baseman.
He didn't make the Opening Day roster because the club needed to carry
a 12-man pitching staff.

Nakamura played three games at Triple-A Las Vegas and hit two home runs
before his promotion.
