I've got work to do, says beaten Paradorn
LYON, France (AFP) - Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan slumped to defeat in his first career meeting with Arnaud Clement in the semi-finals of the 800,000 dollar Lyon tournament and admitted he has plenty of work to do on his game.
The third-seeded Pardorn, who still harbours hopes of making the lucrative end-of-season Masters Cup in Houston, was brushed aside by Clement 6-2, 6-3.
The Frenchman, who won in Metz last week, meets top seed Rainer Schuettler in Sunday's final here after the German beat Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in his semi-final.
"I think he played great. He's moving well. I tried to move him from side-to-side but he was so quick and mixed it up really well," said Paradorn.
"I think I needed to be hitting my first serve better. I had some trouble with it this week. I was rushing the first serve I think and my last two opponents were putting pressure on my second serve."
