DATE:24/12/08 SOURCE:Air Transport Intelligence ANZ's first 787-9 delayed by 12 more months By Nicholas Ionides Recently confirmed new delays in the Boeing 787 programme have further pushed back delivery of Air New Zealand's (ANZ) first aircraft, to 2013. The Star Alliance carrier was the first to commit to the larger -9 variant of the 787 and has eight on firm order. It originally expected its first around the end of 2010 but the programme has seen several delays. ANZ says it was informed in April that first delivery had been pushed back to early 2012 but says today that Boeing has just confirmed a further delay that will push back delivery by a full year. "Boeing confirmed yesterday a further 12-month delay could be expected with the first 787-9 aircraft to be delivered to Air New Zealand in the first quarter of 2013," it says. "Air New Zealand continues to progress compensation discussions." http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2008/12/24/320504/anzs-first-787-9-delay ed-by-12-more-months.html http://0rz.tw/705ff -- RAISE THE FIST OF THE METAL CHILD! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.133.220.118
