Mobiqa, a Scottish company specialising in mobile phone barcoded boarding
pass, mobile ticketing and mobile couponing solutions, announced today (25
November) that Qatar Airways, a Middle Eastern airline operating from Doha,
has launched a new boarding pass delivery service which will allow their
passengers to receive a boarding pass straight to their mobile phone.
The company said that it has supplied the technology which makes the new
service, called mobi-pass, possible for Qatar Airways. mobi-pass was recently
launched at Doha International Airport, the hub of Qatar Airways, and will be
available in other selected destinations in the near future.

Qatar Airways' mobile
boarding pass incorporates passenger travel details on an industry standard
barcode that is sent to the passenger's mobile device in the form of an MMS,
email or WAP Push/Link message. Passengers who elect to receive their
boarding pass this way may proceeding directly to the airport security
check-points, bypassing check-in queues. Once the passenger receives their
mobi-pass they are able to go straight to security and the departure lounge
where their mobile phone is scanned to allow them on-board to continue their
journey as normal.

各位有沒有發現 ticket-less or paper-less 用在運輸業已經越來越普遍了.
前陣子搭國外巴士, 發現總共3 種憑證上車方式.
1. 行動電話購票確認訊息- 上車時,就操作一下自己行動電話的收件夾, 找出這確認SMS
秀給司機大人看就可. 一時之間, 一堆人人手一支行動電話準備登車, 還頗有趣.
2. 稍微比較老土一點的如小弟, 就線上購票直接印出車票收據,然後這張A4紙秀給司機
大人看就可.
3. 最傳統的就是拿到傳統的紙式車票囉.
至於搭飛機, 現在航空公司允許旅客的barding pass 自己在家印一印然後憑
這過海關也越來越普遍了.
這部份在台灣可能國籍航空公司還出與入出境主管機關協調吧.
不過這也說明了我們還有很多努力的空間.
