Continental to resume Guam-Hong Kong service
Continental Airlines announced today it will resume non-stop flights from
Guam to Hong Kong starting April 2, subject to government approval, a press
release from Continental Communications stated.

The direct flights from Guam to Hong Kong will be operated twice-weekly by
Continental Micronesia, the release stated. Each Boeing 737-800 aircraft will
accommodate 155 seats, including 14 business class seats and 141 coach class
seats, according to Continental.
Flights will depart Mondays and Fridays from Guam at 6:35 p.m. and arrive in
Hong Kong at 9:25 p.m., allowing for a flight time of 4 hours and 50 minutes.
Returning flights will leave Hong-Kong aon Monday and Fridays at 10:30 p.m.
and arrive in Guam at 5:10 a.m. the next day.
Continental Airlines first started operating direct Guam-Hong Kong flights in
1991, but temporarily suspended the service from August 2008, according to
the release. With the reintroduction of direct service, the airline will be
the only one to provide non-stop flights from Guam to Hong Kong, the release
stated.
Matt Miller, Managing Director of Asia-Pacific for Continental Airlines said
he was confident the new non-stop service will provide customers in Guam with
convenient access to Hong Kong while ensuring customers in Hong Kong have
great access to Guam,
"Our sales and marketing team in Hong Kong remains committed to working
closely with our travel trade partners there to introduce Guam to more of the
general flying public in Hong Kong," he said.
