To whom it may concerned, About the news "Taiwan taekwondo athlete in Asian Games sock sensor row", I strongly protest that the statement of the news. It says the Yang Shu-chun refused to give her extra sensor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdPcXA0AMMc
I recommend that you watch this video. At 2:28 Yang took off the "black block" behind her socks with the companion of the referee. Actually, they are not sensors at all. The reasons are as followed. First of all, before going on the contest field, the equipment of the athletes had been checked by the referees. Secondly, before the contest, the athletes had tried their electronic equipment and double-checked by the referee in order to ensure that they all work well. To conclude, if they were to be sensors, they should had be taken out by the referees. The fact is they hadn't been taken out. The only reason they were asked to take out is that they looked like sensors. Another ridiculous point is that, if Yang has had extra sensors, why had the referee started the contest? Although they were not sensors at all, under the request of the referee, Yang took it off. After Yang had a landslide advantage over the Vietnam athlete by 9:0, the other guy(I'm not sure he is referee or what) stopped the contest. At 5:44 you can see the guy made a glance at Yang's socks. At 6:28 the guy asked the referee to take the "black block" from the coach of Yang. And I think at 6:56 the guy stated that Yang had extra sensors. BBC is a global media and people read it and take it as a standard worldwide. I believe you have done every effort to confirm every message. Nevertheless, I also believe that the Taiwanese athlete suffered from unjust treatment in this case. Also, the truth may have been covered by the authority. I recommend you that read my message and check the video. You'll find that the statement which states that Yang has cheated on the contest is by no mean a truth. You can also see that the Vietnam athlete is not rival to Yang, so Yang has no reason to cheat on this game. Thank you for reading this long complaint. Wish you a nice day.
