The Oregonian's Jason Quick returned Thursday to preview the
NBA draft, talk summer strategy and more:

Clip 1 - Were there any players the Blazers worked out that
they didn't like?
Quick's take: "I think most of them. They didn't have a good
              first impression of Jameer Nelson. A guy who
              did impress the Blazers was Luke Jackson. His
              stock is skyrocketing with other teams."


Clip 2 - Will a lot of trade talk occur at next month's pre-
draft camp in Chicago?
Quick's take: "Yeah...that's also when teams are gonna get
              an idea of who has been protected or who is
              going to be protected (in the expansion draft)."


Clip 3 - Which eight players will the Blazers likely protect
         for the expansion draft?
Quick's take: "They've settled on the theory that (they're)
              going to protect (the) eight best players...
              (get clarification on Darius Miles status here.)"


Clip 4 - Do the Blazers have a better plan of attack regarding
         this year's draft than they've had in years past?
Quick's take: "Yes...last year's draft was a joke..."


Clip 5 - Would the Blazers consider moving up in the draft
         to take Luke Jackson?
Quick's take: "No. If he's still there at 13, I'm not even
              sure they would pick him there."


Clip 6 - Is Arvydas Sabonis coming back?
Quick's take: "The latest word I've heard is he's going to
              stay (in Lithuania)."


Clip 7 - By the time draft day is over, will this roster look
competely different?
Quick's take: "I think there's going to be an incredible amount
              of interest in Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Utah, for one..."


Clip 8 - Will the Paul Allen/Rose Garden bankruptcy situation
tie the hands of Blazers management with regards to trades,
contract extensions, etc?
Quick's take: "I really don't. Paul Allen, as far as an owner
              forking out money to be competitive, is still
              going to be among the best."


Clip 9 - In order, what are the Blazers' goals this summer?
Quick's take: "I would say: 1) They want to get a top-notch
              shooting guard..."

    看來不只Jim Beseda對Jameer Nelson 的印象不好，原來是幾乎
整個拓荒者隊的選秀團隊或相關人員對他沒有好印象。看來Nelson掉
到拓荒者隊可以選到的情況，John Nash 或是Mo應該是不會挑走他了
！真是始料未及啊！（特別是身在臺灣的我啊！）

　　我想目前拓荒者隊的八人保護名單應該很明確了！而且我也認為
拓荒者隊會把Abdur-Rahim 納入名單中，到時候當作交易的籌碼。

　　六月一日就可以和自由球員談判簽約事宜，那是在擴編選秀之前
，所以我覺得如果簽下D-Mile的話，應該會不落俗套地把他放在保護
名單中，而且這是一定要做的事。

　　呵呵！看來不承認也不行了！真是無奈啊！放掉Brian Cook不選
而挑Travis Outlaw 的這件事果然被Jason Quick 說為”一個笑話”
啊！（不選Cook至少還可以賭賭看Lampe 啊！><）

    目前我還不知道Luke Jackson的身價是否有提升，不過以拓荒者
隊目前的選秀順位還是有機會挑到這位優秀的外線射手，除非屆時在
Chicago 的測試營中他大展身手。

　　我很贊同Sabus 的選擇，畢竟年歲和一些身體上的病痛已經讓他
不能再馳騁於NBA 的沙場上了！但是如果他重返NBA 的話，我還是會
蠻開心的，畢竟還能再親眼看到Sabus 打球，會讓我再三感動的。

　　目前一些大站的消息我是沒有看到有關Abdur-Rahim 的rumors，
不過一些暗盤的密商可能還在進行，大家還是等待吧！我覺得他是一
定得離開Portland的，這樣對他和拓荒者隊都是好的。
