Kings waive Monia

Looks like former Blazers first-round draft pick Sergei Monia is heading back
to Europe after the Kings requested waivers on the 23-year-old yesterday.

Monia is gone -- The Kings requested waivers on small forward Sergei Monia,
who decided to play in Europe. The 23-year-old came to Sacramento from
Portland in a Feb. 23 trade and played in only three games. His departure
will clear about $1 million off the Kings' books.

I don't know about you, but when Sergei Monia and Viktor Khryapa first came
to town, I had higher hopes for Sergei than I did for Viktor. But while Vik
has carved out a nice little niche for himself in this league, Monia never
looked comfortable. I've heard much of that may have been due to the fact he
didn't learn how to speak English and was unable to effectively communicate
with coaches and teammates

今年被交易走的Sergei Monia被國王隊火掉了Orz
然後他將會回到歐洲打球。

其中一個原因是他的英文很爛，
而沒辦法和教練隊友做較有效的溝通，影響到他的發展。

嗯...有股淡淡哀傷...
他的投籃能力很不錯，且年輕又有身材，
之前拓荒者把他換出去我一直都覺得很可惜。
如果因為英文不好讓他發展大受限制...那真的是太浪費他的潛力了 囧>"

如果可以的話我個人還滿希望拓荒者把他找回來培養，
我之前也一直對他比Viktor Khryapa的期望高。

不過現在看來機會應該是不大。
明年（未來？）他應該會留在歐洲打球。
