In a roundabout, convoluted, unorthodox way, the Blazers got two of the most
NBA-ready players and also two of the five best. Brandon Roy is a versatile
guard who can handle, shoot, defend. He plays both ends and was the most
complete guard in the draft. LaMarcus Aldridge solves issues inside and could
have been the No. 1 player taken overall. Portland also added point guard
Sergio Rodriguez in a trade with Phoenix.
