Following the Oscar winning success of "Chicago" another hit stage musical is t
o make the leap to the silver screen, with news that Warner Bros are to adapt "
Rent." Jonathan Larson‘s hit play updates Puccini‘s "La Boheme" and transplan
ts the action to New York‘s East Village in the present day.
Chris Columbus (director of the first two Harry Potter movies) has come on boar
d as director, although at this stage there aren‘t even any rumours about just
whom he wants to cast as his leads.
