接下來我要很快地把Tim Rice這位大家已經很熟知的作詞家給介紹完！
TIM RICE
1944出生在英國Buckinghamshire
Rice 以Aardvarks樂團中的主唱者身份進入流行音樂的世界(1961-63)
60年代期間並且在其他搖滾樂團中演唱
他第一首發行的歌曲是"That's My Story,"(1965)
同年(1965) 他結識了往後長期的合作夥伴 Andrew Lloyd Webber
他和韋伯合作寫了幾齣音樂劇～
The Likes of Us
1968 Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,
1970 Jesus Christ Superstar,
1976 Evita,
Rice還有另外的兩齣音樂劇作品:
1983 Blondel (with Steven Oliver) 一齣寫給兒童的童話故事
1986 Chess 棋王 (with Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson of the Swedish
pop group ABBA.)
Rice還曾經和多位著名的作曲家合作過：
Marvin Hamlisch (for Lauren Bacall,
Bing Crosby, Jack Lemmon and George Burns),
John Barry (the main title song "All Time High"
for the James Bond film, "Octopussy"),
Mike Batt (including David Essex's "A Winter's Tale"),
Paul McCartney, Paul Jones, Francis Lai,
Vangelis, Rick Wakeman and the late Freddie Mercury

Tim Ric並且和導演Jerry Zaks
及演員Elaine Paige合作 "Anything Goes"
除此之外，Tim Rice還有寫書的才能
並且創建一家出版社Pavilion Books
這家出版社至今已經出版了300本以上的書籍
Rice並和人合著了一本相當於英國音樂界的經典the Guinness Book of Hit Singles,
當然人們對他最熟知的是～
在和迪士尼的合作下
Tim Rice並以 阿拉丁 得到奧斯卡獎
