been issued a passport, then the player may be made eligible by the WBCI
upon petition by the player or team).
* The player is a permanent legal resident of the nation or territory the
team represents
* The player was born in the nation or territory that the team represents
* The player has one parent who is, or if deceased was, a citizen of the
nation the team represents
* The player has one parent who was born in the nation or territory that the
team represents
NOTE- In the event a player appropriately appears on more than one
provisional roster, he may select the team for which he wishes to play

紅襪隊的 David Aardsma，祖父母都是荷蘭人，
06年他父母都買好去波多黎各的票了，才發現因為荷蘭的國籍法比較嚴，
而他不符合規則...
不過今年年初荷蘭好像修法了，也許這次能讓他一圓打國家隊的夢想
