〈MLB〉Edmonds靜待紅雀動作

紅雀明星外野手Jim Edmonds今天(3日)臨時性宣布成為自由球員，等待紅雀對他合約
中2007年1000萬美元選擇權的後續動作。
在11月12日期限前紅雀可決定是否執行該選擇權，如果最終拒絕的話，Edmonds將得
到300萬美元買斷金並成為自由球員，但仍可與紅雀續談新約。
根據之前Edmonds與紅雀的合約，為6年5700萬美元，2006年年薪1200萬美元。不過Ed
monds今年僅出賽110場，且2成57打擊率、19支全壘打、70分打點皆為1999年之後新
低，不過當年他僅出賽55場，因此就超過100場的球季來看，Edmonds的成績為生涯新
低。
除Edmonds外還有12人也於今天加入自由市場，使得總數來到161人。
此13人中還包括另一名紅雀主力球員Mark Mulder，Mulder今年因傷僅出賽17場，戰
績6勝7敗、自責分率高達7.14。
其他球員包括道奇外野手Kenny Lofton、教士捕手Mike Piazza與巨人外野手Steve
Finley。自由球員可在11月13日期限結束後與各個球團接觸。
除了松土反大輔這條大魚外，世界棒球經典賽韓國代表隊成員之一、現年32歲的外野
手李炳圭也在今年的自由市場中。
