新專輯有受到Fela Kuti的啟發。
"When L'officiel asked me for this shoot,I swear like 60 to 70% of the images
they inspired, matching the images I've collected for my album. I am so proud
of my history that I can perform. That's royalty!''
為L'officiel拍的這組照片有百分之六七十跟新專輯照片的方向是相符的。

There are alot of intimate and touching moment on the dvd..
I decided to film and edit all those intimite moments myself. I think I
wouldn't be able to be so honest with someone else in the room,not even my
family. I wanted to show myself like never before. It's hard to be away for a
year an a half. It' s hard work and very lonely,despite having great friend
and family that visits sometimes. What I miss the most while on tour is my
home,my bed,shower and all those little things your attached to. The
difference in time is the worst,because of that the distance is ever further
away. The moments I can't reach my loved ones because they are asleep are the
moments I feel very vulnerable. Its funny I because I named my album I AM.
I've been performing since I was very young. My fans see me perform,they see
my pictures but they never saw the real me. I wanted to show the real me.
An important moment on the dvd is when one of your fans get angry because you
didn't say hello..
It's difficult being a celebrity. People judge you without meeting you. They
have an image of you. On that specific moment I was shopping with my mother
in Paris. I wanted to enjoy my time with her,because she came to visit. I
thought I gave my fans the maximum and suddenly a fan started cursing in
front of the camera. I didn't even see it. He got mad because he admires me
and didn't get my attentionhe hoped for. He was one of the hundred people
that wanted a picture or autograph. He didn't get what he wanted but that how
things are sometimes. Broken Hearted Girl is about that. I can perform in
front of a huge audience but I rather eat Mexican with my friends.
Do people sometimes forget you young?
Being on television doesn't change you. I've always kept my privatelife
private because I wanted to protect the vulnerable young me. I want to be
optimistic,that's why I protect my life,work hard and stay strong. I want to
show women that.
How do you keep up with this demanding life and so much pressure?
My job is my passion,my big love. I'll do anything,till my feet bleed. When I
work I forget to eat,drink and use the restroom. I'm born to do what I do. It
was new for me to edit and produce a movie. Maybe I can produce videos for
younger artist in the future.
Where did the African theme come from?

In the shoot you are wearing a dress made by your mother..
She had many african fabrics of different clans,because she couldn't choose.
She used them all. It was emotional and spiritual so put on such a dress.
I've never felt more majestic. All this time and energie she put in making
this dress,I'll always remember it.
Can you tell us something about working with Thierry Mugler?
He is amazing. I feel honored to have worked with him. I saw a exhibition
about superheroes and loves everything that was made by Mugler. I immediatly
knew I wanted to work with him for Sasha Fierce. My mom made a appointment
with him in Paris. He drew amazing sketches and gave my tour a whole new
direction. He is the MJ of fashion.
Are you interested in modern art?
I go to the Miami Art Basel every year. I don't neccesarily need to find the
next great young artist. But I love beautiful things. I love painting but I
haven't done it in a while. But that are some of the things I want to do
again. I paint many African women. Because of my mom I love art. Her home is
like a museum. Just like my home.
MJ was very present during your tour..
I dedicated this tour to him. Luckily I was able to tell him how much I loved
him when he was stil alive. He is my inspiration. I sang his songs when I was
just six years old. I respect him so much and I want everybody that attended
my tour to think of him. He is the reason I do what i do. He is irreplaceable
and nobody will be better than him. It's a blessing to have him as a
rolemodel.
