Destiny's Child has sold more albums and physical singles. Since the launch
of Beyonce's solo career coincided with the advent of the digital era,
however, she clearly leads in songs downloaded. She has also outshined
Destiny's Child in terms of Hot 100 No. 1s and top 10s.
While there may be no definitive way to confirm that Beyonce's solo career
has been more successful than her run with Destiny's Child, it's
unquestionable that since the group arrived in 1997, Beyonce has grown into a
multi-media superstar, encompassing acting and fashion in addition to music.
In December, she earned the esteemed honor of Billboard's Female Artist of
the Decade for the 2000s.
Beyonce is nominated for four 2010 BET Awards, including best female R&B
