如題
請問casein要如何處理，得到我們所要的濃度
我們買的是fluka (casein from bovine milk，1kg)
我們買的好像都不能完全溶掉，有那種可以完
全溶的嗎，不然怎麼去估計blocking的濃度。
或者是除了常看到的casein與BSA作為blocking
還有其他種較便宜的blocking protein嗎?

why not try the non-fat dry milk?
If you are sure that the antibody won't conjugate with the components of
non-fat dry milk, it would be a good choice.
Sometimes you can read the label for instruction.
We are using 1% BSA in our blocking solutoin and it works fine.

一般而言
做western bloting時多半是用5% non-fat milk (in wash buffer)作為blocking用
若是您要做immunoprecipitation (IP)時, 才會選用BSA作為blocking
平常不用的原因是因為BSA蠻貴的, 我們用的X佳脫脂奶粉一罐才不過200而已...
