BLUR singer DAMON ALBARN and MASSIVE ATTACK are to collaborate -
writing material for veteran reggae vocalist HORACE ANDY, NME.COM
can reveal.
Robert '3-D' Del Naja revealed Albarn will enter the studio "soon"
to start work on the "special track" for Andy to sing. He
continued: "(It) might be a bit more blues-ey than straight reggae.
Damon's always had a big history of reggae music; he's got a big
collection and is obviously really into his soul as well. And Horace
has got one of those few really classical, beautiful voices and so
he's a hero to a lot of us. When I mentioned the idea to Damon he was
really chuffed to be writing for Horace."
The comments were printed on the official Massive Attack website
www.massiveattack.co.uk.
It is currently unclear if the new collaboration will appear on a
future Massive Attack release or Horace Andy solo album.
Fellow Massive Attack member Daddy G also revealed that the group's
as-yet-untitled new album is "really starting to shape up". He
said: "We're certainly going for chunkier and more upbeat tracks
and trying to evolve as a band. With this one there's going to be
a lot more variety in the textures and antics in the vocals so it'll
have more of a rollercoaster feel to it.
"There's a more relaxed atmosphere with the making of this album.
There's more room to be slightly more creative than worrying about
how we're going to get through the day without having a scrap.
The atmosphere is a lot happier around here nowadays - I definitely
feel it was a lot harder when it was the three of us. It's cool now."
The new album is expected to be released in summer 2001. New tracks
slated for inclusion on the record include 'The Nature Of Threat',
'Antistar' and 'Aftersun'.

不過這歌曲可能是收在未來massive attack或其單飛成員Horace Andy的專輯中....
