這是雜誌上看來的 某位叫Ben Clancy的樂評評RAVENOUS OST給的星數 -- zero Damon Albarn and Michael Nyman RAVENOUS OST In the beginning there was indie-dance crossover. Then mod appropriation through to Union Jack-waving Cockernee mod to expensive lo-fi productions. Now there's quasi-classical soundtrack composing. Damon Albarn, free thinker, philosopher and renaissance man, we saluted you. With a middle finger, obviously, because this is tosh. The score opens with "Hail Columbia", which continues the flag-waving tradition with tawdry pomposity straight out of Last Night Of The Proms. It proceeds equally desperately with maudlin Bavarian folk songs, drunken horn ensembles and half-arsed attempts at psychedelic sonic expansion. Never mind "We all live in a yellow submarine", much of this sounds like a death march recorded in one. You can take the boy out of the crap band, but you can't take the crap band out of the boy. Put Albarn with an award-winning soundtrack composer and this will only accentuate the pretentious mindset he's cultivated for years in Blur. He's a dilettante and this project is a rich man's folly. Let's remember he trained as an actor and he adopts characters and poses. With this album he's auditioned for the classical role, to be taken seriously, and he's fallen flat on his face. 總之, 又慘又難聽..把Damon說得像跑戲班的.. -- We've got the dreamers disease.. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.twbbs.org) ◆ From: n123.n203-107-1.eranet.net
