NEW SINGLE
"No Distance Left To Run", the third single from Blur's platinum album "13"
will be released by Food Records on November 8th.
The single will be available on cd and cassette formats: cd1 and
cassette are backed with the Cornelius remix of "Tender" with cd1
also including a new track entitled "So You";
cd2 features two additional tracks,"Battle (UNKLE remix)"
and "Beagle 2" - a track specially written for the forthcoming space
mission of that name.
cd2 also contains the promotional video for "No Distance Left To Run".
The video was directed by Thomas Vinterberg whose ground breaking filming
techniques, most notable in the acclaimed Dogma movie "Festen",
are used to stunning effect. The video was shot over four consecutive nights
in each member's house and features footage of Damon, Graham, Alex and Dave
asleep in their own beds, a prospect some band members found rather daunting.
The result however is captivating.
As day dawns and the film reaches an end, Damon is woken only to be quizzed
on what the song is about - "it's a warning and a kind of gentle reminder"
he concludes dreamily.
