BOYZONE star Shane Lynch has thrown down the gauntlet
to bandmate Ronan Keating by forming a new band.
The Irish heartthrob has teamed-up with Phats & Small
vocalist 'Big Ben' to form hip-hop outfit Redhill.
The new band are rumoured to be set for a showdown
with Ronan at this summer's Party in the Park.
But while the future of Boyzone remains in doubt,
Shane is keen to move into other styles of music.
"Everyone knows that hip-hop is my real love," he
revealed.
"I've just been waiting for the right time and the
right people to get involved with.
"I've known Ben for some time and we both share the
same love of hip-hop.
"I'm up for it now and Redhill are going to be big. We
have recorded a lot of new material and a single is
ready to go."
Redhill take their name from the Surrey town that
Shane has made his home, but it's a far cry from
Brooklyn.
