Smash! tracts the formation of the boy band from their Dublin auditions through to their global success where they had no less than 16 top 10 UK hits including six number ones. It was by no means an easy ride for the band who were to become the first act in history to reach the UK top three with their first 14 singles and one of the biggest boy bands ever. The show even includes raunchy footage of Keith Duffy in his previous career as a stripper. "I remember this really kinda glamorous girl came into the gym on e day and approached myself and Shane and another guy called Martin Daly and asked the three of us if we would do some male stripping for her in a ladies' club," said Duffy. "I think the money was something like 50 quid for 15 minutes. I've never seen that kinda money in my life so straight away that was me." Former mechanic and stripper Shane Lynch added: "I didn't get me lad out or anything. It was plain and simple down to a G-string, ladies nights only, it was a bit of fun, I was about 16 at the time." Included in the programme is the lads' cringe-inducing first TV appearance on Gay Byrne's Late Late Show soon after they formed. Dressed in jeans, braces and caps and dancing ludicrously to background music, the lads looked anything but sharp. Said Lynch: "All we were going ton there for was an introduction, to say to the Irish people, 'look these guys have gone through these auditions, they're going now to get themselves together, get into studios, start rehearsing and have a single out eventually'," said Lynch. However, Keith Duffy has rethought his opinion about the appearance -- 我愛boyzone^O^ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 211.74.219.231
