最新報導:THE DAY RONAN KILLED BOYZONE (6)~~~~Sunday People
Mikey Graham said: "My self and Stephen sang the first song which kind of
really launched us in Ireland as a band and then after that I don't known how
it happened at all, I really and truly don't. But for some reason Ronan just
started becoming the front person. Him and Louis got on well together and
obviously Louis was the manager and the next thing you know Ronan was singing
everything. And it wasn't because nobody else could but none of us really know
the reason for that one. Maybe it's better left up to the imagination than
anything, you know."
For Stephen Gately every Press interview he did was a living nightmare.
He explained: "I was always doing Press and waiting for that question you know,
are you gay , and I'd be there shitting it. And I'd be there, God, that bloke's
gonna ask me or she's gonna ask me. I was really stressed out for a good time.
I didn't want to mess up the career of a group just because of my sexuality. It
sounds hilarious now but at the time that's how I felt."
Gately announced he was gay in June 1999 after he feared a former friend was
attempting to sell the story to a newspaper.
Keith tells viewers how, following the band's split, Ronan was furious over a
single he released with his former band colleague Shane Lynch.
The single took a swipe at Boyzone and also the singing style of Ronan.
Said Duffy: "Let me say different people in the television end of things and
the music business have slagged Ronan over the way he sings. He got really
upset...... really angry. And I thought Jesus man. We would have been on the
road for seven years together don't for one minute think I meant it. This is
only a joke," said Duffy.
The programme shows Mikey Graham standing alone in the Point Depot with his
memories. "I'd do it all again tomorrow," he said
