Mikey Graham Biography

On August 15th, 1972 Mikey Graham was born in Dublin. Out of 7 kids in the
family, Mikey grew up hoping for fame, and practiced his natural talent
daily.

As a young child, Mikey starred in television adverts for biscuits, which
were aired across the UK. However, this was not where he initially found his
fame.

He later went on to play with another boy band called Ivory, where he learnt
his talent and soon to be success.

The oldest member of Boyzone, Mikey was one of the thousands of boys that
tried out for the position, by Louis Walsh.

Mikey rarely sang solo on the Boyzone records, and had only sung on one
single previously, before being sentenced to a career as backup. However,
Mikey’s talents in dancing, and holding harmonies were paramount, and were a
vital factor to the success of the band.

In 1996, Mikey’s long time girlfriend gave birth to their only daughter,
Hannah. Although, the couple did not wed and eventually broke up, but remain
on amicable terms.

In 1998, Mikey took advantage of a brief break in touring and recording, and
debuted in his first role on screen. The Irish martial arts movie, ‘Fatal
Deviation’ did not do well at the box office. However, Mikey’s acting is
not to blame for this – Poor budgeting, and marketing proved to be the
downfall of the film.  This did not deter Mikey, as he continued on with
Boyzone, and later strived to achieve bigger and better roles within film and
television.

In 2000 after the breakup of Boyzone, Mikey went on to produce a solo record
‘I’m your Angel’, released in June, the album failed to reach the top ten,
however reached an impressive position of #13 on the singles chart.

2002 proved to be a good year for Mikey, as he starred in another film. A Guy
Ritchie type gangster film, Mikey starred as a henchman to the character of
Mike Reed (a character from Guy Ritchie’s cult film Snatch). The film was
titled ‘Hey, Mr. Dj’ unfortunately, was not an international success.

After lying low for several years, in 2004 Mikey resurfaced in headlines,
after marrying his long time girlfriend Karen Corradi. In 2006, Karen gave
birth to their first child, Sienna Nicole.

Mikey took the most relaxed road to his career after his international
success with Boyzone. Boyzone was such a huge success that it surely set him
up financially for the rest of his life, and was also such a large
achievement to be proud of, especially to the music industry.

Boyzone helped pave the way for many boy bands, and were one of the largest
in the world during the 1990s, and it’s not hard to believe that Mikey is
truly proud of that achievement.

While he released a solo single, which did considerably well, he found that
after Boyzone he was more adept at acting and pursued that career.

While he has not gained international success with his acting or singing
careers, he has remained focused on his relationships with his friends and
family, and is working hard at raising his daughter, as best as he can.
