Corinthians sack Passarella

Corinthians have sacked coach Daniel Passarella after a poor run of form.
The former Argentina captain has been axed after just two months in the job.
The ambitious Brazilian outfit are unhappy with their current form and have
decided to remove Passarella.
"We have told Passarella that he will not continue in the position at
Corinthians," said vice president of Corinthians Nesi Curi.
"We had to decide this because of the negative results of the team but he
stays a friend of us and he has the doors open for the future."
Corinthians are believed to have targeted Emerson Leao to replace Passarella.
