The Braves were planning to promote Myrtle Beach outfielder
Jeff Francoeur to Class AA Greenville next week. Now, the 2002
first-round draft choice likely won't play again until the
Arizona Fall League.
Francoeur suffered a fractured right cheekbone when he fouled
off a bunt and the ball struck him just under the eye during
the second game of a doubleheader Thursday night at Frederick,
Md.
