Final Details on New Super Furry Animals LP
They still have that smell of old tobacco and aftershave
Amy Schmalz reports:
As reported way back, the Super Furry Animals are following up last year's
Guerrilla LP with a full-length written entirely in their native Welsh. It's now been
set that the fourth studio album, Mwng (pronounced "Mane"), will be released
May 1 on SFA's label, Placid Casual in the UK, and on Flydaddy Records in
the US. Titles include mid-west friendly nuggets such as "Y Gwyneb Iau" and
"Pan Ddaw'r Wawr." The full translated songlist is: "Badness," "Banished to the
Periphery," "Liverface," "There She Is," "Beehives," "When Dawn Breaks,"
"Sunny Intervals," "The Feeling," "Deep Roots," and "A Cold Mars on Neptune."
Word has it that the album has more of an electronic feel. Then again, the band
originally stated it would be more straightforward rock. Only one thing is for
sure: it will be music.

The story is a sad one, told many times.
The story of my life in trying times.
Just add water, stir in lime.
How the west was won and where it got us.
