http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/news/music/000428_sfa.shtml SFA remix the Beatles The Super Furry Animals have remixed previously unreleased Beatles material. The sessions have been shaped into one 18 minute track called"Plastic Beatle" and will be played as part of a Peter Blake exhibition at the Tate Gallery in Liverpool. The exhibition runs until March of next year and also features Robbie Williams? first attempt at visual art - an Elvis Collage! Super Furry's keyboard player, Cian, told Radio 1 it all came about after a chance meeting at the Brat Awards in February, when they told Sir Paul McCartney to give them a call if he wanted anything remixing in the future: "I'm not sure where the material came from," he said. "There was stuff that was original and previously unheard Beatles tracks". He says although the band are happy with their new versions, they were all a bit in awe of the fact it was the Fab Four: "Some of the songs are so good you don't want to f*** around with them. It's the Beatles, innit!" -- The story is a sad one, told many times. The story of my life in trying times. Just add water, stir in lime. How the west was won and where it got us.
