Coldplay have declared themselves the
most boring band in rock, telling
Playlouder: "we play reverse rock 'n' roll".
They also went on to say, cringingly, " It
doesn't matter whether we give good
quotes or not. What matters is the music."
The band have also been speaking about
their Mercury Music Prize nomination. A
statement from the band reads: "we put a
lot of effort into making a record that we
were proud of and happy with so it's nice to
know that other people quite like it too. We
always hoped that our record would mean
as much to other people as our favourite
records mean to us. Our vote would go to
Badly Drawn Boy because he is >brilliant.
Thank you very much."
The band are currently preparing for a tour
in October. The next single to be released
from their number one album 'Parachutes'
will be Trouble, on October 23rd.
