※ 引述《tanzawa (my password is..)》之銘言:
: 德州shoegaze團Experimental Aircraft成立於97年, 98年加入鼓手後始固定四人
: 編制的陣容. 2000年同名專輯則由他們自己錄製, 並由加州廠DevilInTheWoods發行.

以下張貼本期Grandaddy專訪:
1. What was the first song you heard that completely floored you,
made you shiver, made you want to make music? "Barracuda" by Heart.
G: When rock 'n' roll first began, the Holy Rollers proclaimed that it
was the beat that was so evil. If this song had existed back then,
Heart would have be strung up and publicly burned. The rhythm of the
guitars and drums in the song still kinda disturb me.
2. Who is your favorite singer of all time? Why?
G: I love listening to John Lennon sing in his "get fucked" voice. Or is
it his "Paul is a wuss" voice? Overall, I think I prefer choirs. I'm
still searching for the most beautiful choral music.
3. What's the worst piece of advice anyone's ever given you?
G: "There's no way that nail is sticking out of the coping - go ahead slide
over it." Heard just prior to tearing my ACL in half in my right leg.
4. What album is on your stereo right now?
G: Brahms on the turntable, Erike Satie in the kitchen and Steve Earle in
my truck.
5. What song have you written and/or performed that you're most embarrassed
by?
G: "I And I Survive" by Bad Brains. Aaron [Burtch], Kevin [Garcia] and I
used to inexcusably obviously destroy this otherwise quite listenable
reggae song. Yes, I said reggae song.
6. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
G: First Captain America, then Dirty Harry, then either a park ranger or
fireman.
7. What's the worst day job you've ever had?
G: Either pulverizing dead turkeys at a mystery-meat processing plant,
stacking empty bottles from a conveyor belt at 7-Up or the graveyard
shift cleaning floors at K-Mart. The waste-management job was actually
okay.
8. Who will die of a drug overdose first: Scott Weiland or Robert Downey Jr.?
G: Don't know, don't care.
9. Which New Year's resolutions have you kept so far? Which ones have been
broken?
G: Won't drink as much - barely. I told myself I would only speak aloud 50
percent of what I spoke in 1999. I've talked way too much. Mostly in
fucking interviews. Maybe next year.
10. Are you pro-Napster or anti-Napster? Why?
G: I hear that it is scaring the fat cats, which is good. But other than
that, I don't know much about it.
11. Do you believe in God? Do you believe in a higher being?
G: I believe in nature. I believe in self-education. I believe in civility.
12. If you were on death row, what would your final meal consist of?
G: Bread and water. Real jail food!
13. What is the freakiest experience you've ever had with an obsessive fan?
G: I couldn't get it to stop working. I hit the "off" button, then I
unplugged the cord. I tried smashing it, but it just kept going. I
finally took it and threw it onto the freeway. It got run over about
12 times, caused a few blowouts, then eventually died. Fanatical little
fucker.
