Britney Spears Is "Happy and Smiling" as She Steps Out With
New Boyfriend David Lucado

Has Britney Spears found her rebound? The pop star and
former X Factor judge stepped out with rumored boyfriend
David Lucado in Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Thursday, March
14, and the pair seemed to be very much enjoying each
other's company.

The singer, 31, looked giddy as she and Lucado made their
way to the Forever Bella tanning spa, their second tanning
trip together this week.

Spears showed off her toned figure in a patterned spring
green halter dress and sky-high wedges. She topped off her
look with a pair of aviators -- much like Lucado, who
similarly kept things casual in a maroon Virginia Tech
T-shirt, shorts and grey sneakers.

"He's a good boy. He's from a good family," a family source
tells Us of Virginia native Lucado. "David grew up on a
farm. He does alright. He's into restoring old cars."

The source adds that Lucado is "really down-to-earth" --
something Spears seemed to appreciate during their daytime
date.

"She was happy and smiling and she rarely smiles, but yes,
she looked happy," an eyewitness at the tanning salon tells
Us. "Her bodyguard was there too and walked them in,
opening the door for them."

The pair spent 25 minutes in the shop before heading to
their next spot, the Four Seasons Westlake. There, the duo
played ping-pong at the lounge, where Spears is a regular.

"Britney was really good," the onlooker said. "They were
having a fun time together but there weren't any PDAs."

The twice-divorced mom of two hasn't been single long.
Spears and agent Jason Trawick, 41, announced their split
back in January.

"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," the
"Scream and Shout" singer told Us in a statement at the
time. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great
friends."
