Bring on Brazil, says Klinsmann

Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann claims he would prefer to face five-time world
champions Brazil in the semi-final of the FIFA Confederations Cup rather than
Japan or Mexico.
Germany twice threw away the lead in a 2-2 draw with Argentina here on
Tuesday but qualify for the last four of the competition as Group A winners
on goal difference over the South Americans and are not trying to dodge big
opponents.
"We would prefer to play against a big team in the semi-final," insisted
Klinsmann. "Perhaps Brazil in the next round and, if we beat them, Argentina
again in the final."
Mexico lead Group B and are the only team to secure a spot in the last four
with Brazil and Japan fighting it out on Wednesday for the right to join them.
Brazil could well finish runner-up and face Germany in the semi-final here on
June 25, but Klinsmann believes a win against one of the big teams has to
come sooner rather than later.
"We want to beat one of the top sides and know it is a matter of time," vowed
Klinsmann. "But we are realistic and recognise we need a bit more
ruthlessness and quality."
A 1-0 win over England at the final game at Wembley Stadium back in October
2000 was the last time Germany defeated a recognised top nation despite
reaching the 2002 World Cup final where they lost to Brazil.
