"Nobody launched an approach on Kuranyi"
Today reader's of the Stuttgarter Zeitung could find a story that VfB striker
Kevin Kuranyi could be turning his back on the club and joining FC Schalke 04.
Furthermore numerous radio stations picked up on the story.
Kevin Kuranyi is under contract with VfB Stuttgart until June 30 2005 and
therefore he is committed to the club until this date. So far FC Schalke 04
have failed to approach the club officially about the striker and furthermore
Kevin Kuranyi hasn't asked anybody if he can leave early.
”We will do everything we can to keep him”
"I won't do anything until that has happened. Kevin may have been approached,
but the fact is: he is under contract here at the moment," said VfB team
manager Felix Magath.
"We are talking to the player at the moment, but we refuse to panic. We will do
everything we can to keep this young player here," insisted VfB chairman
Erwin Staudt.
