51'  Stauce seems to have hurt his shoulder, and is requesting attention.
     After some treatment, it looks like he will be okay to continue.
50'  Schneider's corner causes problems for Stauce, who fails to claim at
     the first time of asking, but eventually makes a comfortable save from
     Klose's header.
50'  Germany have made a half-time change, with Marko Rehmer coming on for
     Bohme, meaning Frings can push into midfield.

48'  Fredi Bobic is brought down by Vadim Petrenko as he bursts forward, and
     the Lithuania central midfield player is shown the yellow card.
48'  Germany have begun the second period promisingly, and will be looking
     for more goals here.
47'  Rau is penalised for a heavy tackle as he tries to win a loose ball, and
     comes off worst, as he limps away.

45'+2' The referee brings the first half to an end, with Germany in front but
      having struggled in the face of some disciplined defending from their
      opponents. Ramelow's eighth-minute goal gave Geramny the perfect start
      but they have struggled to build on that and will be hoping for better
      after the break.
45'+1' We are inside added time now, as Germany win a corner which Bohme takes,
       but Bobic can only direct his off-balance header wide.
45'  Ignas Dedura does well to intercept a potential through-ball before it can
     reach Bobic.
45'  Lithuania press Germany back inside their penalty area, but Rau is
     eventually able to clear downfield.
44'  Semberas goes down after a high tackle from Bohme, and he is obviously
     hurt and will require attention.
43'  Schneider comes down the right and tries to win a corner, but the referee
     points for a goal kick instead.
42'  Ramelow tries to burst forward, but his progress is halted by the offside
     flag.
41'  Germany win a corner, which Friedrich delivers, but again Lithuania are
     able to clear at the second attempt.
40'  Bohme concedes a free-kick in the centre circle as he brings down the
     opposing No8 Saulius Mikalajunas with a late tackle.
39'  Lithuania have grown in confidence as this half has worn on, and will know
     they are by no means out of the match yet.
38'  Worns misses a header from a high pass and the ball breaks to Edgaras
     Jankauskas, but his shot is defelcted wide for a corner.
37'  Germany have struggled to impose themselves in this half; despite having
     most of the possession, they have not been able to create many clear
     chances.
36'  Dietmar Hamann comes forward for Germany and the ball is eventually worked
     to Frings, but he is unable to find a cross and Lithuania win a goal kick.
35'  Bobic wins a free-kick as he is tripped by Semberas.
34'  Arne Friedrich swings the corner into the goalmouth, but Frings's header
     has all the power taken off it by a deflection and Stauce catches easily.
33'  Germany have steadily pressed Lithuania back in the last couple of minutes
     , but have not yet put them under real pressure, as they win three throw-
     ins in quick succession.
32'  Bohme fails to reach a long crossfield pass, and Semberas is able to watch
     the ball bounce harmlessly out of play.
31'  Lithuania come forward again, but Frings does well to win a throw-in.
30'  Germany have dropped the pace throughout this first hlaf, and have been
     unable to make the most of their early goal.
29'  That was another lucky escape for the home side, who are reduced to long-
     range shots at the moment, as Ramelow shoots wide from 35 metres.
