i think they mean "small" in comparison to the floor model stereo you would
have in your living room.
a note, since i don't think anyone else explained it yet, is that it's called
a "ghetto blaster", because when it was given that name, it was very
predominant in american "ghetto" neighbourhoods, and it would "blast" the
ghetto with obnoxious rap and breakdance music. (not to say that all rap is
obnoxious, but a great deal of the stuff from that era was)
