Group plans to work in the spring on follow-up to Up.
R.E.M. plan to begin recording the follow-up to their 1998 album, Up, in the
spring, according to their manager, Bertis Downs. The album is not expected
to be out until next year. Downs said the veteran rock group has been working
on a number of songs for the disc, which guitarist Peter Buck recently said
probably would follow the experimental vibe of Up.

I've found a way to make you
I've found a way a way to make you smile
I read bad poetry into your machine.
I save your messagesjust to hear your voice.
you always listen carefullyto awkward rhymes.
you always say your name, like I woundn't know it's you,
