Spice Girls' Creator Killed In Car Crash Bob Herbert, the manager who invented the Spice Girls and the British boy group Five, died in a car crash in Windsor, England on Monday after losing control of his car during a rainstorm. Herbert recruited the future Spice Girls with a newspaper ad in 1993. He initially called the group Touch, but in 1996, Touch hired new manager Simon Fuller and changed its name to the Spice Girls. In a statement issued yesterday to the British press, the Spice Girls said they were "shocked and saddened" to hear the news of Herbert's death and that their "deepest sympathy goes out to his family." Herbert is survived by his wife and three children. He was 57. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.twbbs.org) ◆ From: tp077146.seeder
