HOT PROSPECT

Chin-Feng Chen, an average outfielder, is being converted to first base in
the hopes of finding a possible successor to Eric Karros. Chen, 24, was
batting .298 with five homers and 12 RBIs through 15 games at Class AAA Las
Vegas.
