下面是Sickels在The Baseball Prospect Book 2004裡對陳的評價：
It's clear now that Chen will never be the superstar player
originally envisioned. With two years at Triple-A under his
belt, we can safely conclude that he would be a .240-.260
hitter at the major league level (possibly .220-.230 in dodger
stadium). He could hit 20-25 homers in a full season, and he'd
draw enough walks to have a not-too-terrible on-base percentage.
But his speed is gone, and he's not great shakes defensively
at either outfield or first base.He still has plus bat speed,
but hasn't developed much refinement in his hitting approach.
There are lots of guys with his skill set stalled in Triple-A.
He'll need some measure of luck now to get a job. Grade C
