OF - Chen - he's no Billy Ashley, but he's not a real good outfielder, and
he finally got enough at-bats for me to see what the problem is
- he doesn't have any confidence - Tommy Lasorda took him aside
after his first AB in one game to give him a pep talk, but it
didn't seem to have any effect. (and yes, it's an odd thing to
say about someone who has done fairly well at all levels in the
minors). At least this spring, he seemed to be more a part of
the team than in the past.
