[提名] ”譯”鳴驚人

我必須要說，這裡有很多東西我也是不知道的 orz，

我的(古)中文和關於古物的知識時常是較貝比腳不及的。

連書法我都根本沒有辦法比。


以下，是貝比腳最近在翻譯(中翻英)的文章的部份，給大家看看。

(有一些字因為太古老了，所以打不出來，這邊也不能用貼圖的，大家將就一下)









原文:

春秋中期的秦文字資料闕如。

春秋晚期的秦文字資料則相當豐富，

包括（一）鳳翔南指揮秦公一號大墓出土石磬銘文（圖版一六、一七），
王輝根據銘文「龔□是嗣」「隹四年八月初吉甲申」等
論證此石磬為景公四年（573 B.C.）親政時所作，辭世後以之隨葬。

(二）民國初年出土的秦公簋（圖版一八、一九）、宋代著錄的盄和鐘（圖版二○），
我們認為二器的器主皆秦景公（576-537 B.C.）。

(三）石鼓文（圖版二一、二二）。石鼓的年代爭議極多，
我們認為石鼓文的字體距秦公簋近，離詛楚文遠，最可能的時代應為春秋晚期
，其中許多字的寫法及風格與秦景公時期的秦公簋、石磬銘文極為相似，
很有可能是同一時代的作品。

There is a paucity of mid Spring and Autumn Qin writing.
In contrast, that from the late Spring and Autumn is rather plentiful,
including:

1) a stone qing chime from the Qin G?ng (秦公) large tomb #1 at Nanzh?hu? (南
指揮) village in Fengxiang (鳳翔), [Sh?nx? 陝西] (Figures 16 & 17),
which based on its inscriptions of “the descendant of G?ng (龔) and
Huan (Yuan) (□)” (龔□是嗣), and "under the new crescent moon,
in the eighth month of the fourth year" on day Ji? Sh?n” etc.
(隹四年八月初吉甲申),
Wang Hu? demonstrated that this qing was made in the fourth year of the rule of
Lord J?ng (景公 J?ng G?ng), i.e., 573 B.C., and buried with him.

2) The Qin G?ng gu? (秦公簋) excavatedin the early Republican period (Figures
18 & 19), and the Zh?o He zh?ng-bell (盄和鐘) recorded in the Song (宋)
dynasty (Figure 20), which we believe to have both been owned by Qin Lord
J?ng (秦景公 aka Qin J?ng G?ng; r. 576-537 B.C.).

3) The Stone Drum inscriptions (石鼓文; Figures 21 & 22). There is little
agreement on the dating of the Stone Drums. The Stone Drum script is close to
that on the Qin G?ng gu?,
and is further from the Curse Upon Ch? (Z? Ch? Wen 詛楚文) inscriptions,
so the most likely date for the Stone Drums is the late Spring and Autumn
period.
The structure and style of many of the characters on them are extremely similar
to the inscriptions on the Qin G?ng gu? (秦公簋) and the stone qing chime from
the time of the Qin Lord J?ng,
so it’s very likely that they are contemporaneous creations.
