與兩位投手Elbert、McDonald一起在這個九月被升上大聯盟的小胡，前不久被下放3A以
前，曾在打擊區裡奮鬥了一段時間。

小胡，這個道奇的2007小聯盟年度最佳球員，在51s（道奇3A）的打擊率0.295，外帶1
支全壘打、15分打點。

道奇負責球員發展管理的De Jon Watson對小胡仍持高度評價，稱他是當代棒球的絕佳
防守好手。「我認為這只是他怎麼去適應打擊的小問題，而且我認為等他適應以後，你
會看到他變得更有（打擊）生產力一點。」Watson說，「他這種調整的步調，我認為是
愉快的、可以理解的。我想打擊能力或許是最後才要在他身上歸位的那一塊，而我相信
他會渡過難關。」

如果小胡下一季需要渡過更多的3A球季，他可能不會是在51s。華森說他不能對這個問
題多做回應，因為道奇與51s仍有合約簽到9月18，而整個球團到時可能會有一些改組動
作，即尋求與Albuquerque Dukes，這個道奇在1972-2000的3A球隊合作。
