Today, I had the opportunity to interview one of the Dodgers top prospects
Chin-Lung Hu, a shortstop playing for the Las Vegas 51s, the Dodgers Triple-A
Affiliate. Last month, Hu was named the MVP of the Futures Game, joining a
group of All-Star players who have already won the award. It is possible we
see Hu patrolling the left side of the infield some time next season. He has
a bright future ahead of him and it is obvious because of his consistency at
all the levels. I would like to thank Jim Gemma and everyone in the Las Vegas
51s Front Office for getting this interview set up for me and on such short
notice, I really appreciate it.

今天很高興有這個機會可以訪問躲人隊的頂級新秀-胡金龍!胡現在正在

躲人的3A球隊-51區人隊擔任游擊手,上個月,胡在未來之星明星賽中獲選

為單場最有價值球員.或許下個球季我們就有機會看到胡宰治內野的左半

邊!因為他在每個層級的球隊都打的穩定,所以顯然地,在他面前有開闊明

亮的未來!我要感謝XXX和51區隊的辦公室給我這個機會來訪問胡,我真的

很感激!




ELI: What are the major differences in playing here and in Taiwan? Are the
fans very different?

艾利:在美國打球跟在台灣打球最大的差別在哪裡?粉斯們有差別嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: Oh, I feel a lot more comfortable here. The stadiums are a lot
nicer; the level of play is better and more competitive. The fans are great
here and in Taiwan, but here they are a little crazy. They follow you
everywhere. [laughs]

金龍:喔~我覺得在這裡我舒服的多,球場好的多,在這裡的層級比較高也比

較競爭!台灣跟美國的粉斯都很好,可是這裡的粉私有一點瘋狂,他們會到處

跟蹤你~(笑)


ELI: How does it feel to be a two-time All-Star in the minor leagues?

艾利:你覺得在小聯盟連續兩次當選全明星選手有什麼感覺勒?

CHIN-LUNG: It’s an honor to be considered an All-Star and represent my team.

金龍:能代表我的球隊然後參加明星賽是一種榮耀!

ELI: How does it feel to follow in the footsteps of Alfonso Soriano, Jose
Reyes, and Grady Sizemore as the MVP of the futures game?

艾利:能跟隨那些曾經拿下未來之星最有價值球員的步伐,像是Alfonso Soriano,

Jose Reyes 和Grady Sizemore,你覺得如何呢?

CHIN-LUNG: It was very exciting to win the award that so many great players
have won before me.

金龍:在我之前有那麼多好的選手曾經贏的這個獎項是非常令人興奮的!

ELI: Did it give you a lot of confidence?

艾利:這個獎項使你更有自信嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: Oh yeah, it gave me a lot of confidence.

金龍:喔~耶~當然~它讓我更有自信啦!

ELI: How long have you played baseball? Have you always been a shortstop?

艾利:你打棒球多久啦?你之前也都是當游擊手嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: I’ve played since elementary school. Probably about fifteen years.

金龍:我從小學就開始打棒球,大概打了15年了吧!

ELI: Have you always been a shortstop?

艾利:你一直都在游擊這個位子嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: Yeah, for the most part. I was tried in center field one time but
that only lasted a couple of weeks.

金龍:是阿~大部分的時間都是!我曾經嘗試過中外野手,但是只當了幾個禮拜而已!

ELI: There aren’t a lot of players from Taiwan in the league, how does it
feel to represent your country playing for a great team in the Dodgers?

艾利:在這個聯盟沒有很多台灣人,代表台灣在這個好球隊打球是什麼感覺勒?

CHIN-LUNG: It is nice and it feels good. Playing here knowing that is fun.

金龍:這樣很爽而且我覺得很好!在這打球並且知道這樣很有趣~

ELI: Do you keep in touch with players from Taiwan around the league. Like
Chien-Ming Wang or Hong-Chih Kuo?

艾利:你有跟其他來自台灣的選手聯絡嗎?像是郭or王?

CHIN-LUNG: Yeah we talk from time to time back home.

金龍:有阿~我們回家常常聊天.

ELI: You where number 8, is there any significance to that number?

艾利:你是八號(迷之聲:真的喔我都不知道),這個號碼有什麼意義嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: No, it is just the number they gave me here in Triple-A. I like
number three though if I got to choose. I like single-digit numbers.

金龍:沒有ㄋㄟ~3A的球隊就給我這個號碼,如果可以選我想選三號!我喜歡個位數!

ELI: How does the level of competition change as you move up through the
system? What is the biggest difference between High-A and Double-A? AA and
AAA?

艾利:你升上3A之後競爭度有改變嗎?在高階一A,2A,3A之間最大的差別是什麼?

CHIN-LUNG: In High-A, the pitchers throw hard but they don’t have a lot of
control. Now, in Triple-A, the pitchers throw hard and have good control.
They also have pitches with a lot of movement.

金龍:在一A投手球速快,但是控球差,現在在3A,投手球速還是快,控球也很好!

     而且他們的movement也很好!

ELI: What was it like being invited to spring training? Did anyone give you
some advice? Who?

艾利:他們邀起你去參加大聯盟春訓,有人有給你任何建議嗎?誰?

CHIN-LUNG: I was very happy and excited. I got to see my favorite players. I
got to talk to Nomar [Garciaparra], and he is like a hero of mine. And when I
got to talk with them, after it was very exciting. All these guys make so
much money, but work so hard, so it makes me feel good. I got a chance to
work with Juan Pierre a little bit on hitting, which was very nice and
exciting. Nomar [Garciaparra] also gave me some good advice at shortstop.

金龍:我很開心也很興奮,我可以看到我最喜歡的選手.我有機會跟nomar聊天,

     他就像是我的英雄,當我跟他們說話時,我覺得非常的興奮!這些傢伙賺很

     多錢,而且非常認真打球,讓我感覺很好!我有機會跟Juan Pierre一起打擊

     真的是一個很好的經驗,nomar也給我一些有關游擊手的建議!

ELI: Do you have a favorite major league stadium?

艾利:你有最喜歡哪個大聯盟球場嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: I like them all.

金龍:我都喜歡~

ELI: Which jerseys in the major leagues do you find the most attractive?

艾利:你最喜歡大聯盟哪一隊的球衣?

CHIN-LUNG: I like the Dodgers the most. They are classic and haven’t changed
in awhile.

金龍:我最喜歡躲人的,他們很經典,而且好一陣子沒變囉!

ELI: Did you have a favorite player growing up?

艾利:在你長大的時候你有最喜歡的選手嗎?

CHIN-LUNG: I love Ichiro. He has always been my favorite.

金龍:一直以來一朗是我最喜歡的選手!

ELI: If you could bat against one pitcher, in the past or present, who would
it be?

艾利:如果你可以選擇和一個投手對決,以前的或者是現在的,你最想和誰對決勒?

CHIN-LUNG: I think Roger Clemens. He is so good and has been for so long.

金龍:我想要和火箭人對決,他又強又持久!>/////<

I love him since he's from Taiwan, but hate him for being a Dodger.

打從一開始我知道他是台灣人我就喜歡他,

打從一開始我知道他是躲人的我就討厭他!

i sort of question why he will be brought up. the dodgers are stacked in the
infield. they still have furcal, abreu at 2nd, and playing him at third is
stupid. a 3b should have better hitting numbers.

躲人很奇怪,內野已經大爆滿了,可是如果叫他換位子更是傻子的行為~
