Laird又往本壘衝的同時，王建民已在本壘附近補位，但A-Rod選擇自己追跑者而未傳球，
Laird往本壘撲壘的同時，A-Rod也撲向他，但在A-Rod完成這個觸殺前，
Laird的左手早一步摸到本壘。

: Rodriguez, who had a bruise on his chin from Laird's shoe, didn't want to
: talk about it, saying, "I have no idea. That was so long ago. 14-2."
: Torre assigned blame to both Posada and Rodriguez after watching the play in

: "Jorgie, he's got to get the guy moving this way," he said, meaning third
: base. "And Alex, where he was, probably should have given the ball up to the
