Kei Igawa’s next start will be Saturday at Yankee Stadium against the A’s.
With no game today, the Yankees had the option of giving Chien-Ming Wang
an extra day of rest but decided to pitch their ace Thursday in Baltimore....
According to Torre, Wang’s usual nail trouble wasn’t the reason for his
control problems late in Saturday’s outing. “What bothered him more was
the mound,” Torre said of Wang, who gave up four runs and six hits in
6 1/3 innings. “He had trouble getting used to the slope.”
