Hughes, who is slated to start Monday but could lose his spot in the rotation
to Chien-Ming Wang, fanned Jones swinging, then Nick Markakis looking, and
Brian Roberts wascaught stealing for a strike 'em out, throw 'em out double
play.

Scouting Report:
Yankees: Hughes picked up a win in his last start, allowing three runs in
five innings to the Orioles on Wednesday. With Chien-Ming Wang close to
returning the Yankees' rotation, though, there has been some speculation it
could have been Hughes' final start with the big club. Manager Joe Girardi
has maintained that the team has made no decision on Wang and said after the
game Wednesday that Hughes' is currently the probable pitcher for Monday's
against the Rangers.
