: NEW YORK -- He went 379 days in between victories, and for a pitcher who
: once won a total of 38 games over two seasons, it felt like forever.

: Chien-Ming Wang watched from the clubhouse as the Yankees bullpen
: preserved it. And the quiet Wang appeared as relaxed as he could be

: catcher, Jorge Posada understands the importance, too.

: starter. When Gary Sheffield reached second base after a sacrifice bunt by
: Fernando Tatis, Girardi yanked Wang with a one-run lead and one out in the
: sixth inning.

: sinker, we still have to call it. But we used different pitches."

: something Girardi said needs to improve.
