[外電] Pettitte exits in sixth with unknown injury

CLEVELAND -- Andy Pettitte was removed in the bottom of the sixth inning on
Friday with an unknown lower body injury.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi and assistant trainer Steve Donohue came out to
the mound twice as Pettitte worked against the Indians' lineup.

The first visit came in the fourth inning after Ben Francisco flied out to
lead off the frame, and Pettitte was seen tamping down the area in front of the mound.

He completed that inning and also the fifth, but opened the sixth with a
single to Mark DeRosa and walked Francisco, drawing Girardi out on a charged
mound visit before Pettitte fell behind Jamey Carroll with a count of two
balls and no strikes.

That brought Girardi and Donohue back out, and Pettitte's evening was
complete after 84 pitches. The Yankees did not immediately announce any
information on the injury. Alfredo Aceves relieved Pettitte, who was 4-1 with
a 4.30 ERA coming into his 10th start of the season.
