NEW YORK -- The Yankees continued their winning ways on Wednesday
night in the Bronx, as Chien-Ming Wang won his third consecutive
decision, leading New York to a 4-2 win over the Detroit Tigers.
The Bombers' three-run sixth inning was the difference in the game,
giving the Yanks their 14th win in the last 16 games. New York
remains 4 1/2 games behind the Baltimore Orioles in the
American League East, though they are now just a half-game behind
the Boston Red Sox for second place.

洋基與美聯東區第一名的Baltimore Orioles (金鶯隊)仍然有4.5場的勝差
(這也不能這樣說，金鶯隊的狀況是好的不得了呀…)
但是他們只落後同區第二名的Boston Red Sox半場勝差

Wang breezed through the early innings, retiring the Tigers in
order in each of the first three frames. He was given an early
lead in the first, as the Yankees manufactured a run to perfection
, using a Derek Jeter single and a sac bunt by Robinson Cano to
set up Gary Sheffield's RBI single.

王在前幾局輕鬆的解決打者，前三局讓打者三上三下，並且在隊友的協助下一開
始就以jeter的一壘安打，加上Cano的高飛犧牲打與Gary Sheffield的
一分打點一壘安打取得一分領先

Detroit finally got to Wang in the fourth, using a pair of singles
and an RBI sac fly by Ivan Rodriguez to tie the game. But the
young right-hander limited the damage, getting Dmitri Young
to ground into an inning-ending double play.
底特律在第四局終於突破了王的封鎖，利用二隻一壘安打與Ivan Rodriguez
的一分打點犧牲打取得一分使比數板平。但是菜鳥左投使得損害降到最低
讓接下來的Dmitri Young 擊出內野雙殺打



The Yankees snapped the 1-1 tie in the sixth, plating three runs
 against Tigers starter Mike Maroth. Sheffield walked to start
the inning, then Hideki Matsui reached on an infield single,
extending his hitting streak to 10 games.
洋基隨後在第六局將1-1的僵局打破，三分的攻勢將底特律老虎對的先發Mike Maroth
打下場。Sheffield的保送展開了本局的攻勢，隨後Hideki Matsui的內野一壘安打
也使得他的連續安打場次推進到10場
Alex Rodriguez continued his offensive onslaught, doubling in
Sheffield to give the Yanks a one-run lead and increase his Major
League-leading RBI total to 47. Jorge Posada extended the
lead with a two-run single, as the Yankees took a 4-1 lead
after six innings.
A-Rod也持續他的攻擊火力，深遠的二壘打將Sheffield 送回並取得一分的領先
且讓他的打點累積到47分。Jorge Posada 的二分打點一壘安打延續攻勢
使得洋基在第六局結束取得四比一的領先


The Tigers fought back with a run against Wang in the seventh, but
Tanyon Sturtze got two huge outs to end the inning and preserve t
he two-run lead. Tom Gordon tossed a perfect eighth and Mariano
Rivera closed it out in the ninth, earning his 10th save.

老虎隊於局對王展開反攻，但是Tanyon Sturtze使二位打者出局結束了這一局的攻勢
並守住了兩分的領先優勢。Tom Gordon(他終於被提到了>_<~~感動!!!)
第八局完美的投球讓對手三上三下，Rivera成功地守住第九局並且取得他的第十個救援點
