Consider the Yankees farm system, such as it is. There is some pitching here.

Chien-Ming Wang, a 25-year-old right-hander, will be four years removed from
reconstructive shoulder surgery next spring. Wang pitched in the Olympics for
Taiwan, then went up to Triple-A Columbus and finished in terrific style, going
5-1 with a 2.01 ERA. In 40 1/3 innings he allowed 31 hits, walked eight, and
struck out 35. Overall he was 11-6 in 24 games, and allowed 58 earned runs in
149 1/3 innings for an ERA of 3.50. He walked 34 (2.05 per nine innings) and
struck out 125 (7.5 per nine). Wang could be the Asian Jon Lieber, and that's
pretty good.
