對洋基而言這場勝利是第四場的連勝，洋基的戰績也提升到15勝19敗。
王建民在7又1/3局的投球中掉了兩分並且被擊出四支安打，
順利在大聯盟取得他的第一場勝利。
Tino Martinez連續四場擊出全壘打，
而John Flaherty和Robinson Cano兩人都讚助兩分打點。

水手隊在對抗王建民時很快取得二比零的領先，前兩局各得一分。
第一分是由Ichiro Suzuki以三壘安打所造成，
並由Randy Winn打的帶有打點之滾地球來得分。
Wilson Valdez揮出一壘安打打回第二分，
那時候的情況看起來就好像這個菜鳥右投手將有漫長的一天要面對。

: New York tied the game in the bottom of the second against Mariners starter
: Aaron Sele, as Flaherty singled in Alex Rodriguez and Cano plated Martinez
: with a sacrifice fly.

洋基在二局下半面對水手先發投手Aaron Sele就追平比分，
由Flaherty揮出一壘安打打回A-Rod並且Cano以高飛犧牲打送回Martinez。
PS: singled in A-Rod 以及 plated Martinez 的意思我不太能體會說。

: Martinez snapped the tie in the third, belting a two-run homer against Sele,
: his eighth of the year. Martinez has now gone deep in six of the last seven
: games in which he has started.

Martinez在第三局突破了平手局面，他在面對Sele時揮出了兩分打點全壘打，
這是他今年的第八發全壘打。Martinez在過去七場先發的比賽中，
已經揮出了六支深遠全壘打。

: Flaherty doubled in another run to make it 5-2, then Cano, who was just
: 2-for-23 entering the game, smacked an RBI single to boost the lead to four
: runs. A throwing error by Adrian Beltre allowed another run to score, capping
: New York's five-run frame.

Flaherty揮出二壘安打使洋基再得一分，形成五比二；
接著最近23個打數只有兩支安打的Cano再送出一分打點，擴大到領先四分。
而Adrian Beltre的傳球失誤導致洋基再得一分，讓洋基一局取得五分。

: Wang settled in after the second, retiring 10 of 11 batters through the fifth
: inning. Seattle put a pair of runners on in the sixth, but Wang struck out
: Jeremy Reed to strand them.

此刻之後，王建民就穩定下來，直到五局總共讓11個打者中的10人出局。
水手隊在第六局有兩個跑者上壘，不過王建民三振了Jeremy Reed，使水手再陷困境。
